From the beginning.
Our story
Our distillery, much like our great home of Atlantic City is an ever changing place. We have seen more triumph and heartbreak, and successes and challenges than most could fathom, but like the mighty shores of Absecon Island against all storms, we persevere.

March 1774- After having one too-many Old Fashioneds (back then they were just called "Fashioneds") in a tiny Boston pub, George Washington decided that Great Britain could shove it and started writing The Constitution on a napkin.(citation needed)

June 2016 - Construction begins at 807 Baltic Ave Unit B.

August 2016- A 38 Caliber Snubnosed Revolver (circa 1875) unearthed on grounds of distillery.

November 2016 - Little Water Distillery receives state and federal operating licenses and begins production.
​

December 2016 - Release of Whitecap Whiskey.
​

March 2017 - Release of Liberty Rum and Grand Opening of Little Water Distillery to the public.

May 2017 - Release of 48 Blocks Vodka.
​

November 2017 - Baltic Backroom Society is Born.

June 2018- Little Water Distillery’s tasting room popcorn receives its 52nd consecutive Popcorn of the Week award from Popcorn Weekly Magazine.(2nd citation needed)

January 2018 - Owner travels overseas only to return to the news of staff-planned Infamous Harry Potter Night that same evening. He drives directly home from airport in fear, avoiding distillery at all costs.

Summer of 2018 - Little Water Distillery launches summer long Atlantic City 48 Blocks Cocktail Challenge.

August 2018 - Release of Prosperity Rum.

March 2019- Founder & Head Distiller Eric Ganter passes away.

April 2019 - Release of Rusted Revolver Gin.

November 2019 - Release of Whitecap Barrel Aged Old Fashioned.

March 2020 - Tasting room closed due to Covid19.

April 2020 - FDA authorizes distillery to manufacture Hand Sanitizer and production begins.

September 2020 - Distillery Reopens to the public.

December 2020- Prosperity Rum receives Gold medal honor at East Coast Craft Spirit awards. Rusted Revolver Gin receives Bronze medal and Liberty Rum receives People’s Choice award.

February 2021 - Release of 48 Blocks Chocolate Martini.
​

April 2021- After 36 months experimental Prosperity Rum Distiller’s Select released to public. Production commences for 2024 product rollout.

June 2021- Rusted Revolver, 48 Blocks Vodka, and 48 Blocks Dark all receive Double Gold medals at the Finger Lakes International Wine and Spirits Competition.

October 2021- George Takei disses William Shatner’s Blue Origin space journey as “boldly going where others have gone before”. Little Water Distillery begins regular release of Whitecap Whiskey NQB (Not Quite Bourbon) line.​
